24 hour crisis hotline offering a full spectrum of victim services, including crisis intervention, shelter, medical and legal advocacy, support services and prevention, education and offender treatment.

Opportunity Counsel
Non-profit Community Action Agency assisting homeless and low-income families and individuals in learning to become self-sufficient through services that range from addressing immediate and crisis-oriented needs (food, emergency shelter, eviction-prevention) to longer-term programs that promote self-sufficiency.

Brigid Collins Family Support Center
Non-profit family support center with programs to prevent child abuse, teach parenting skills, improve family dynamics, reduce stresses within families, reunite parents and children, and provide other family support services.

Northwest Youth Services
Non-profit organization offering services to teens, including residential staffed safe home for run-away or homeless 13 to 17 year olds, life skill classes and other programs designed to reconnect youths with family and/or community.

Sea Mar Community Health Centers
Non-profit community-based organization providing medical, dental, behavioral health, nutritional, social and educational services to Washington residents without regard to race, ethnicity, immigration status, gender, sexual preference or ability to pay.

Bellingham Whatcom County Housing Authorities
Local government agency that provides housing to low-income and working families, the elderly and people with disabilities.

Planned Parenthood
Non-profit sexual and reproductive health care provider and advocate, with family planning services (including abortion).

Whatcom County Pregnancy Clinic
Non-profit medical clinic providing pregnancy tests and pregnancy-related services – including relationship and parenting skills classes – to women, teens, and families. (This agency does not offer abortion services.)

Bellingham Food Bank
Non-profit organization supplying groceries to Bellingham families in need.

Non-profit organization providing free legal assistance and information to Washington residents who have been denied unemployment benefits or whose award of benefits is challenged.

Alcoholism & Related Issues

Alcoholics Anonymous
Provides 12-step groups and other support for those dependent on alcohol to achieve and maintain long-term sobriety.

Al-Anon / Alateen
Assistance and self-help groups for family members of alcoholics. Alateen is for younger family members of alcoholics (typically teens), with meetings run by teens and guided by experienced Al-Anon members.

Sexual Abuse
